TeachingI have been teaching at the University of Auckland since 1992 where I teach two undergraduate courses, "Communicating for a Knowledge Society" and "Innovating for a Knowledge Society". I was awarded a national tertiary teaching excellence award in 2015.

ResearchMy socio-environmental research centres on science / society interactions and in particular people's engagement with environmental issues. I specialise in science communication, collaborative learning, participatory research, science innovation and agricultural extension.

ConsultancyI am Research Director for Aranovus Research, a private environmental consultancy based in Auckland New Zealand. I undertake consultation and research to investigate and understand the social dimensions of environmental issues and provide social science advice to our clients.
